Periyar house is located on the banks of the Periyar Lake, Periyar House is a budget jungle lodge, which offers a vantage point for visitors to get close to the wildlife in Thekkady.

It is inside the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. For a budget traveller who wish to stay in a wildlife sanctuary this is the best option here.

Guests are requested to reach Periyar House before 3.00 pm to board the last boat trip for wildlife watching.
Entry to Periyar Sanctuary will be closed by 5.00 pm. Hence please ensure to reach inside the sanctuary before 5.00 pm.
Guests of Periyar House are advised to reserve the seats for boating in advance (subject to availability) for various schedules on payment basis.
